Gene Lesmeister

Gene Lesmeister, 91, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011. Gene was born in Selz, N.D. and served in the Navy 1937 to 1945. He married Lillian Allen in Long Beach. They moved to Harvey N.D., then in 1962 to Hartford, Wis., where they owned the Hartford Theater.

In 1974, they moved to Fallbrook, where he worked as a custodian at Mary Faye Pendleton School on Camp Pendleton. He retired in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; sons, Michael of Asheville, N.C., and Donald (Judy) of Hartford, Wis.; and daughter, Patricia Perales of West Bend, Wis.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, cous...
