Friends of the Fallbrook Community Air Park held its annual spaghetti dinner Aug. 6 in the hangar of Fallbrook aviator Carl Morrison.
The dinner drew 62 people. “It was a good mixer crowd,” said dinner organizer Tom Wilson, who is currently the secretary of Friends of the Fallbrook Community Air Park.
The annual spaghetti dinner was the fourth for Friends of the Fallbrook Community Air Park. Wilson was the organization’s president when he proposed the idea and the board subsequently approved its implementation. Bob Hume provided 15 pounds of noodles for this year’s dinner; Michele Howard provided sausage for the sauce; and Wilson and his wife prepared the sauce and salad while also bringing cheese and beverages.
Guest speakers Steve and Heidi Tillinghast of Vista, who gave a presentation two years ago on their flight to Alaska, returned as the guest speakers. They recently flew to the Caribbean and provided a video and slide show along with their talk this year about that trip. “They do a very nice job,” Wilson said.
“It was just a nice pleasant evening,” Wilson said. “It was a pleasant time for everybody to get together and enjoy each other’s company.”
