Crime numbers down in first half of year

Crime numbers are down in the Fallbrook jurisdiction for the first half of 2011. The total number of crimes reported for January through June was 413, compared to 564 for the same time period last year, a drop of approximately 27 percent.

“Crime is down significantly compared to last year,” said Lt. Robert Haley, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s substation. “That is significant, to say the least. Our personnel are working extremely hard and those figures aren’t a coincidence.”
