Chiloquin wins Real Good Deal Stakes

Chiloquin became the first horse stabled at the San Luis Rey Downs Training Center to win a race during this year’s Del Mar Thoroughbred Club meet and the first San Luis Rey Downs horse since 2007 to win a Del Mar stakes race when the three-year-old gelding won the Real Good Deal Stakes which took place Aug. 10 at Del Mar.

Chiloquin, who was ridden by Martin Pedroza, led throughout the seven-furlong race for three-year-old California-bred horses and defeated second-place Luckarack by half a length.
