OCEANSIDE – For anyone who is interested in learning more about the stars and planets, MiraCosta College’s Astronomy Program’s fall 2011 star parties offer a chance to look through a real telescope and see Saturn or Jupiter, or watch a shooting star. There is no charge to attend.
MiraCosta College’s stargazing parties will take place from 8 to 10 p.m. on the first Friday and Saturday of the month (Sept. 2 & 3; Oct. 7 & 8; Nov. 4 & 5; Dec. 2 & 3). The viewing will take place at the MiraCosta baseball field, weather permitting. The campus is located at 1 Barnard Drive in Oceanside.
