Although she has traveled significantly for field hockey tournaments, Lauren Hughey had lived in Fallbrook for her entire life before packing up for Oxford, Ohio, to study at Miami University and play field hockey for the RedHawks. It took Miami coach Iňako Puzo one game to determine that Hughey would earn playing time for the RedHawks.
“We are looking forward to her,” Puzo said. “We’re looking forward to her helping us grow as a team.”
