FALLBROOK – California Watercolor announces the opening of a new public gallery in Fallbrook featuring famous American and “California Style” watercolor art by renowned American artists.
California Watercolor offers the very finest in museum quality watercolor art by both early American masters and renowned contemporary artists. All are invited to stop by and visit the exclusive gallery of award-winning artists such as Millard Sheets, Emil Kosa Jr., Dong Kingman, Hardie Gramatky, Phil Dike, Ken Potter, and many more.
This American Scene Art conveys a sense of nationalism and romanticism in its depiction of everyday American life. These artists documented and illustrated American cities, small towns, and rural landscapes with a richness never seen before.
Many of the artists painting in this dynamic period of American art history have become nationally and internationally celebrated. Over a dozen of them were selected by their peers to become Academicians of the National Academy of Design, the highest art honor in the country. Numerous others were members of the National, American, and California Watercolor Societies, and have displayed their art in countless museum exhibitions.
