In the Sept. 1, 2011 edition of the Village News, the title for article “FPUD renews contract with lobbyist with $1 mil deal” was in reference to the overall amount of money that the District had invested thus far with lobbyist Ron Packard. According to information from the recent Fallbrook Public Utility meeting, the board of trustees has invested approximately $857,000 over the last nine years with Packard Government Affairs.

The current contract renewal between FPUD and Packard is a retainer set at $5,000 per month.

The Village News apologizes for any misunderstanding.
