Funds available for community improvements - County invites public to meetings to learn how to apply for federal funds

SAN DIEGO – The County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) will host 10 meetings throughout the county in September on how to apply for federal community development funds. The meeting scheduled for Fallbrook will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m., at the Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Lane.

The funds are provided through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to benefit lower income residents of the unincorporated area with projects such as senior centers, parks, drainage improvements and health centers. HCD administers the funds,...
