Sticksters warm up for fall

Kirstin Mueller’s first year as Fallbrook High School’s field hockey coach began with practice Aug. 15, and the Warriors’ first competition with Mueller as the head coach was an Aug. 30 scrimmage against Scripps Ranch.

“The team looks really good,” Mueller said.

The 2011 team has only two of Fallbrook’s eight all-league players from the 2010 season, first-team midfielder Jamie Garcia and second-team forward Sydney Richelieu, but eight of the 11 expected starters were on last year’s varsity.
