Solar energy exec speaks of upcoming cost cuts

Frank van Mierlo, the chief executive officer of 1366 Technologies, addressed efforts to reduce solar energy costs during the Aug. 22 Solar Energy plenary session of the Aug. 21-25 annual meeting of SPIE, the international optical society which held its annual conference at the San Diego Convention Center.

Van Mierlo's presentation, œA Solar Revolution, noted obstacles to lowering the cost of producing solar energy along with efforts - at least from his company - to overcome those situations.
