Angel Society makes August distributions to worthy causes

FALLBROOK - A total of $10,100 in donations to various community groups and worthy projects was approved by the board of directors of the Angel Society of Fallbrook at its August meeting.

Heading the list of recipients was the Fallbrook Food Pantry, with $5,000 to help supply nutritious food to needy families in the Fallbrook area. The organization now serves between 500 and 600 families each week. More than 50 percent of its clients are children and more than 30 percent are seniors.
