Fallbrook High School locks down for 15 minutes to locate a student that others claimed had a gun

Administrators at Fallbrook Union High School (FUHS) implemented a lockdown on campus at approximately 1:30 p.m. this afternoon (Sept. 15) that lasted approximately 15 minutes.

Dale Mitchell, superintendent of Fallbrook Union High School District, said that the decision to lock down was due to a student that needed to be located.

"Information came to administration that there was a student in possession of a gun," said Mitchell. "The student was not where he was expected to be at the time, so we put the school in lockdown mode and law enforcement was notified.
