The County of San Diego is seeking a grant from the State Water Resources Control Board to improve the water quality of the Rainbow Creek watershed.
The San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 Sept. 14 to authorize the application of a grant for $300,000 and to authorize acceptance of the grant if it is awarded. The grant funding would be used to reduce impacts from runoff pollution through best management practices, residential and business education and outreach, and water quality monitoring.
