VFW offers patriotic essay contest to students

FALLBROOK “ Fallbrook Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1924 has two essay programs which encourage student participation and they are now taking entries.

Voice of Democracy (VOD) is open to students in grades 9 to 12 who are enrolled in a Fallbrook school. This year's theme is œIs There Pride in Serving in Our Military? VOD awards begin on the local level with first place at $500, second place at $300, and third place at $200.
