Chasse honored on 100th birthday

Dave Chasse served as the kicking coach for Fallbrook High School's football team for more than two decades before retiring at the age of 97. The Warriors had a home game on September 16, which was Chasse's 100th birthday, and the former coach was honored during the game.

"They honored me very nicely, and I do appreciate it," Chasse said.

Chasse had no coaching experience before becoming Fallbrook's kicking coach in 1984. He had been watching games and befriending coaches, and after he noticed how a Warrior kicker could improve he offered those suggestions to Tom Pack, who was Fallbrook's head...
