FALLBROOK – Students at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School are benefiting from the addition of new state-of-the-art computers and interactive teaching technology this year.
The effort to add more technology began in February with a Technology Campaign to acquire the funds needed for the purchase of Apple iMac computers for the school’s computer lab and Mimeo Teach interactive boards, document cameras, printers, projectors and computers for the classroom. The effort was spearheaded by three families: Iturralde-Vazquez, Snyder, and Taitano.
The campaign included a kick off reception dinner, a summer fiesta, and even a lemonade and cookie stand by a St. Peter’s student. Support came in from parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, businesses, teachers, alumni, parishioners, and the Knights of Columbus. Major donors and supporters of the campaign were The Bravo Foundation and St. Vincent de Paul.
By the end of August, $42,000 in donations had been raised. For more information, or to make a donation to the ongoing technology fundraising effort, call principal Linda McCotter at (760) 728-6961.
