Spark arresters required on equipment

SAN DIEGO COUNTY – Improperly used equipment is rapidly becoming a major cause of wildfires in San Diego County. When motorized equipment is used in dry grass or brush, the combination for a devastating wildfire is present.

Always use the recommended grade, and mixture of oil and gasoline. Never smoke while refueling or adjusting the engine. Cal Fire advises that all types of motorized equipment should be maintained with an approved spark arrester.
