FALLBROOK – Robert Klar, a resident of Fallbrook, was recently selected for an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial. He and his son, Scott Klar, flew from Lindberg Field on Sept. 16 and returned on Sept. 18.
The goal of Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization, is to provide a free trip to all WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. While there, the veterans visit the Lincoln, Korean, Air Force, Navy, and Vietnam memorials.
