NCFPD approves $14.5 million budget

The North County Fire Protection District (NCFPD) Board of Directors approved the proposed financial year 2011-2012 budget at its Sept. 27 meeting, setting the budget at $14.5 million.

“At its peak, the district’s budget was $16 million,” said NCFPD Chief Bill Metcalf. “We are down two million dollars from our highest point, which was a few years ago.”
