RMWD revisits ordinance 95-1 modification

The Rainbow Municipal Water District’s (RMWD) board of directors has asked Rainbow staff to begin the process necessary to place a measure on the ballot in the 2012 elections relating to modifying Ordinance 95-1, which requires that the water district have ratepayer approval before accepting loans greater than one million dollars.

RMWD general manager Dave Seymour stated that while the board did not take any official action, the board is hoping to update the ordinance to be more fitting to current economic standards.
