Power restored in area of State Route 76 and South Mission Road after transformer incident

Today's traffic on State Route 76 is back to normal after power was restored last night by San Diego Gas & Electric following an incident involving an electrical transformer. The malfunction knocked the electrical system out of working order last night in the area of the state route nd South Mission Road.

A failure of electrical lines connected to a transformer in the area caused the loss of power which resulted in several hours of severely impacted traffic due to non-operational traffic signals along a good stretch of the highway.
