Diamond expert to speak at meeting

FALLBROOK – Due to the power outage in September cancelling their meeting, the Fallbrook Gem and Mineral Society has again scheduled Meg Berry of GIA as their guest speaker, on Thursday, Oct. 13 starting at 7 p.m.

Berry will give a presentation on “Uses of Diamonds in Lapidary (gem cutting) Arts.” She is an award winning lapidary and has a lapidary business called Megagem where she fashions gemstones for the jewelry trade but does take on commission work as well. She is not only a master of faceting gems but is also a master carver.
