Annexation tax reduction vote certified

The San Diego County Water Authority’s Sept. 22 certification of the resident vote was the final step towards the reduction of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) annexation charges for DeLuz and Rainbow property owners.

The annexation fee is now eliminated for four of the five SDCWA areas which had outstanding annexation fee debts including the DeLuz Heights Reorganization, DeLuz Heights No. 1, and Fallbrook Community Air Park areas (Rincon Del Diablo No. 4 is the other CWA annexation area). The debt was reduced in the Rainbow No. 3 annexation area.
