Collision delays traffic on eastbound SR-76

PALA - On Oct. 20 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Carlos Ivan Arroba (27, Moreno Valley) was driving a 2006 Toyota Solara eastbound SR-76 west of Pala Mission Rd at 45 mph in the #2 lane. According to witnesses, Mr. Arroba drove onto the south shoulder in an apparent attempt to turn right into the west entrance of Pala Casino.

Mr. Arroba did not make the right turn and continued straight on the right shoulder and directly toward the rear of a parked 2006 HINO stake bed truck. Mr. Arroba failed to brake or move his vehicle from the path of the parked vehicle.
