Sports field, DeLuz Fire to receive funds

The allocation of $80,500 of District Five Neighborhood Reinvestment Program funds Oct. 11 included $20,000 for the Fallbrook Sports Association and $5,000 to the DeLuz Volunteer Firefighters Association.

The Fallbrook Sports Association will use the grant to help cover the costs of converting a grass field at Ingold Community Sports Park to synthetic turf while the allocation to the DeLuz firefighters will reimburse them for the costs of furniture and will purchase supplies, equipment, furnishings, and fixtures for the new DeLuz fire station.
