Warriors spikers win league openers, pool at Hilltop Tournament

Fallbrook High School’s girls volleyball team won its first two league matches of 2011, and the Warriors also won their pool at the October 8 Hilltop Tournament.

Fallbrook took three-game wins in Avocado East League play October 4 at San Pasqual and October 6 at home against Escondido and did not lose a game in pool play during the tournament.

The Warriors’ league opener was a 25-14, 27-25, 27-25 victory over San Pasqual. “We were pretty strong throughout. There was nothing disappointing about our play,” said Fallbrook coach Peter Peng.
