OCEANSIDE - Two people were injured today, one seriously, when a sport-utility vehicle careened off Interstate 5 and tumbled into a culvert in the far northwestern reaches of San Diego County.
The accident on the northbound side of the freeway near Harbor Drive occurred shortly before 2 p.m., when Adam Sipcyak, 37, swerved abruptly to his left to avoid a collision with a silver sedan whose driver tried to change lanes in his direction while traveling alongside Sipcyak's 1998 Ford Explorer, according to the California Highway Patrol.
