Pool chemical spill closes down northbound 5 freeway

CAMP PENDLETON - A spill of pool chemicals on Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano forced a miles-long closure that tangled traffic well into the northern reaches of San Diego County today. The non-injury accident near San Juan Creek Road was reported shortly before 11 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
