Prescription drug drop off day is Oct. 29

FALLBROOK – On Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Fallbrook Substation will be hosting a prescription drug drop-off site during the third county wide “Prescription Drug Take Back Day.”

The site will provide a safe and secure location for residents of Fallbrook and surrounding communities to properly dispose of unused, unwanted, and expired prescription drugs and reduce the access of prescription drugs to children, teens, and potential abusers through public awareness and education

The drop-off site will not be accepting any “sharps” (used or unused needles, etc.); however a permanent drop box for these items is located on the west side of the Fallbrook Substation which is located at 388 E. Alvarado St.
