FALLBROOK – Fallbrook’s USA Wrestling Chartered Club, Relentless Wrestling, will be conducting club sign-ups on the Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. until noon in the lobby of the high school gym. The upcoming season is for kids 5 years old to 14. The kids will be competing in divisions that match them by weight and age, so they will always be competing with someone who is within two years of age and five pounds in weight.
Wrestling is an outstanding way for children to learn the value of hard work, discipline, self control and camaraderie. And its just plain fun. Relentless Wrestling has produced numerous San Diego Imperial Kids Wrestling Association (SDIKWA) champions as well as trained athletes for the high school wrestling program.
Practices will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the high school wrestling room. There is a $50 registration fee which includes a club shirt. The Fallbrook Wrestling Association, which governs the club, is a non-profit organization that exists solely to promote and support the sport of wrestling in the community of Fallbrook. As a result, all of the coaches and staff are volunteers.
The club is also seeking volunteers to help coach, officiate, help at the tournaments and with fundraising. Contact Club Director Greg Wagaman at (760) 828-2700 with any questions.
