Ladies support education through P.E.O.

FALLBROOK – On Saturday, Oct. 15, 70 women gathered at Fallbrook United Methodist Church for Santa Margarita Reciprocity’s Fall Social. P.E.O. Chapter PF hosted the event. The tables were individually decorated with different members’ personal china and unique table center pieces were made using pumpkins and live succulents. The ladies in attendance enjoyed a chicken salad lunch as well as a very informative talk on the role of an all female Marine task team sent to Afghanistan given by Cherelle Peters-Williams.

P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization, founded on January 21, 1869, by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Today, P.E.O. has grown to almost a quarter of a million members in chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada, with headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. Education continues to be the primary philanthropy of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. In fact, the P.E.O. Sisterhood sponsors six international philanthropies, or projects, designed to assist women with their educational goals. More information can be found at http://www.peointernational.org.
