The County of San Diego received a $20,000 grant from the state’s Volunteer Fire Assistance program, and the Oct. 11 meeting of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors included a 5-0 vote to accept that grant and to appropriate that money to the San Diego County Regional Fire Authority for the purchase of personal protective equipment.
“Even small steps like this count towards improved fire protection in our region,” said Supervisor Dianne Jacob.
