Fallbrook High School’s girls’ cross-country team won its league opener Sept. 30 against San Pasqual.
The Warriors’ varsity took a 24-31 victory over the Golden Eagles in the race run on the 2.70-mile Fallbrook course.
“Most every position counted. It was an interesting race because nobody wanted to go out hard, so it became a tactical race,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin.
