Strong opening to league season evens Warriors' water polo record

The season record of Fallbrook High School’s boys’ water polo team fell to 5-8 after the Warriors lost four of five matches in the Sept. 23 and 24 America’s Finest City Tournament, but the team returned to .500 after winning four of its first five Avocado East League matches.

A 17-9 home win Oct. 11 against Mission Hills gave Fallbrook a 9-9 overall season record along with the 4-1 league mark. “We are a quickly improving team,” said Fallbrook coach Bill Richardson.
