Rollover Crash Kills Man in Temecula Wine Country

TEMECULA - The driver of a white 1997 Ford Expedition died in a rollover crash this morning in a rural area in Temecula Wine Country, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 12:54 a.m. on Pauba Road north of Los Caballos Road east of the Temecula city limits, according to a CHP spokesman.

The male driver lost control of the Expedition, which began to overturn and ejected him, according to CHP Officer Ron Thatcher.

Paramedics pronounced the driver, who was not identified, dead at the scene, Thatcher said.

The CHP was investigating the cause of the crash.
