Aichle retires from Avocado Animal Hospital, Steiner and Nissan continue practice

FALLBROOK – Thirty-seven years after opening the doors of the Avocado Animal Hospital in Fallbrook, Dr. Steven Aichle retired, turning the veterinary practice over to doctors Charley Steiner and Najdat Nissan.

Aichle founded the practice in September 1974 with the help of his wife, Colleen, who served as a receptionist and surgical assistant.

Aichle, who turned the keys to the facility over to eight-year associate Steiner and Nissan on Sept. 30, said the facility now has 10 employees. Several have been part of the business and the adjacent Fallbrook Animal Lodge for many years. Emily Koo...
