Federal government to send 30 second Emergency Alert System test Nov. 9

Early warnings save lives. Next week, the federal government will be interrupting your TV and radio programs for 30 seconds for a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).

• Wednesday, November 9th at 11:00 a.m. our time

• Message will last 30 seconds, then regular programs will resume

• Will be seen and heard on every TV and radio station across the country all at the same time

• Please do not panic, it’s ONLY A TEST

• Please do not call 911 unless you have a real emergency
