Local Tea Party takes Straw Poll

The Fallbrook Tea Party held a Straw Poll of the upcoming presidential race at its regular meeting on November 3. With just under one hundred participants, Newt Gingrich took first place with 37 percent of the vote, followed by Mitt Romney with 30 percent.

All nine Republican contenders were on the ballot, as was President Obama, who came in with two percent.

The next meeting, on January 26, will host speakers from each of the presidential campaigns.
