Coroner Names Victim of Wildomar Crash

WILDOMAR - The county coroner's office today identified the victim of a solo-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in Wildomar.

Sim Lim Young, 50, of Cypress, died from her injuries when the black Ford Explorer she was driving overturned and crashed at 8:33 p.m. Friday on the southbound 15 between Baxter and Clinton Keith roads, the coroner said.

The vehicle was traveling at about 70 mph when the Explorer's right rear tire blew out and she was unable to maintain control, said CHP spokesman Nathan Baer.

Young was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where she was pronounced dead at 11 p.m., Baer said.

Her husband, Dug Lim Young, was wearing a seat belt in the front passenger seat and suffered only minor injuries, Baer said.
