Riders of the Purple Sage's new sound spans generations

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook favorites, Cody Bryant’s Riders of the Purple Sage, although still playing the music of the original 1942 band drawing Roy Roger movie fans, have added a new twist to their vintage sound that will be on display at Fallbrook’s Mission Theatre on Sunday, Nov. 20, at a 3 p.m. matinee.

According to booking director Dave Aranda-Richards, “we old oater lovers still love the ‘Rider’s in the Sky,’ and Gene Autry favorites, but Cody has taken the standards and added burning blue grass and up tempo versions, which are drawing a younger and enthusiastic fan.”
