VFW dinner to celebrate Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary's move

FALLBROOK – VFW Post 1924, located at 1175 Old Stage Rd., is hosting a $10 per person Italian dinner on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. to help celebrate the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary’s (FAS) upcoming move into downtown Fallbrook.

With a generous VFW member underwriting food costs and Chef Trish Harrison donating her cooking talents, 100 percent of the proceeds from the dinner will go to the animal sanctuary.

Dinner includes vegetarian lasagna, three-meat/five cheese spaghetti bake, garlic bread and a salad bar. To reserve a table, call Texanne Schaden at (760) 728-5332 and leave a message with the number of people coming.

FAS founder Janet LuCore will announce details of the move and the new facility at the celebration dinner.

The new FAS Adoption Center will be located at 230 W. Aviation. A grand opening celebration will be announced after renovations are completed and the pets have moved into their new home.
