Pacific storm system expected Sunday afternoon into early Monday

Sunday through early Monday, a Pacific storm system from the Gulf of Alaska is expected to move inland across southern California and northern Baja bringing moderate precipitation amounts and gusty winds.

The strongest winds are expected Sunday afternoon in the mountains and on the desert slopes where wind gusts near 40 mph are possible. Greatest rainfall amounts are expected Sunday afternoon and evening.
