Volunteers to recreate battles of Civil War

LA QUINTA - Volunteers will recreate battles to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War at Lake Cahuilla Park today and Sunday.

There will be ''battles'' at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. today featuring real muskets and cannons. More than 70 volunteers will portray civilians and Union and Confederate soldiers.
