LAKE ELSINORE - A 14-year-old Lake Elsinore girl who apparently ran away from home was back with her family today, a sheriff's sergeant said.
America ''Jenny'' Gonzalez was found in Lake Elsinore about 6:30 p.m. Monday, ''unharmed and in good spirits,'' said sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Chavez. She last seen around noon Saturday near Lincoln Street and Riverside Drive in downtown Lake Elsinore, near the city's public campground, Chavez said.
The teenager's family reported her missing as runaway Sunday morning, triggering a search, Chavez said.
Jenny was with a man named ''DJ'' when she was last seen, Chavez said.
''Investigators determined after speaking with family members that this was out of the ordinary for Jenny, and the family was becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare,'' Chavez said.
Authorities Search for Missing 14-Year-Old Girl
LAKE ELSINORE - A search was under way today for a 14-year-old Lake Elsinore girl who apparently ran away from home.
America ''Jenny'' Gonzalez was last seen around noon Saturday near Lincoln Street and Riverside Drive in downtown Lake Elsinore, near the city's public campground, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
The teenager's family contacted investigators Sunday morning to report her as a runaway, triggering a region-wide search, said sheriff's Sgt. Patrick Chavez.
Jenny was with a man named ''DJ'' when she was last seen, Chavez said.
''Investigators determined after speaking with family members that this was out of the ordinary for Jenny, and the family was becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare,'' Chavez said.
The girl has brown eyes and brown hair with a slender build.

LAKE ELSINORE (SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE)-On November 20, 2011, at approximately 9:05 a.m., officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department investigated a 14-year-old female who was reported as a runaway by family members. The juvenile was entered into the missing person system and the report was forwarded to the Lake Elsinore Police Department Investigative Bureau. Investigators determined 14-year-old America "Jenny" Gonzalez was last seen on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at approximately 12:00 p.m.in the area of Lincoln Street and Riverside Drive, in the city of Lake Elsinore in the company of a black male named "DJ". Investigators determined after speaking with family members this was out of the ordinary for "Jenny" and the family was becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
