Milton Gaylord Brown, 96, a 31-year resident of Fallbrook, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born October 17, 1915 in Grand Forks, N.D.
After graduating from high school and working in Corona he met and married the love of his life, Virginia Hughes in 1940.
He earned a Doctor of Optometry degree after serving with the US Army in the European Theatre in WWII. Upon completing a professional career, he and Virginia retired in Fallbrook in 1980.
Gaylord was a caring, supportive husband and father, well liked by all who knew him. He and Virginia enjoyed golf, travel and home gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010 and is survived by two sons, Steve and Gary; granddaughter Laurie and great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Holly.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery, 1177 Santa Margarita Drive.
