The county’s Zoning Administrator approved a modification to the Minor Use Permit for the wireless communications facility at the North County Fire Protection District facility on Ivy Street.
The Nov. 15 decision of Zoning Administrator Joe Farace allows for the addition of two 74-inch omnidirectional whip antennas on an existing 74 foot tall monopole in the northern portion of the property. The additional antennas will allow Verizon Wireless to provide enhanced service.
“The project seems like it’s pretty straightforward and minimal,” Farace said.
