Richard "Dick" Elder

Richard “Dick” Elder, a California resident for over 65 years and a resident of Yucca Valley for five years, died at his home Nov. 17, 2011, of cancer. He was 73. Born May 4, 1938, to John “Jack” Elder and Verna Feihner Elder in Slater, Mo. he served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Elks club of Yucca Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, June Elder, from whom he was divorced in 2006; his son, Kevin Richard Elder of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters Stacia Akin, of Murrieta, Stephanie Joeaux Robey of Buckeye, Ariz., and Keri Lynn MacLean of Fallbrook; and also nine gra...
