Bettie L. Murphy

Bettie L. Murphy of Fallbrook, Calif., passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. Bettie was born Feb. 12, 1923. She married Robert Murphy April 23, 1942. In 1949 Bettie, Robert and their young son Larry moved from Indiana to Fallbrook. It was here she had her second child, daughter Terri, raised her family, and resided for the rest of her life.

Bettie had a zest for life, loving to dance and sing. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Aux. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, her two children, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Bettie's one last request was to live on her own and in her home until the end and she got her wish.

A funeral service for Bettie will be on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary in Fallbrook.
