John (Jack) Gallagher, born July 25, 1920, passed away Nov. 11, 2011 (Veteran’s Day). Jack and his wife Erna were residents of Fallbrook from 1965
until 2002.
Jack flew light planes for the Army Air Corps during WWII in Burma and later worked for Standard Oil in California, Venezuela and Indonesia. He ran the Rancho California Airport in Temecula for many years.
Erna passed in 2007 and his son Brian was fatally injured in a hangar accident in 2010.
Jack is survived by daughters Linda Sweikar of Sacramento and Maureen Stewart of Temecula, as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
